Enterprise High School senior Noah Loy signed his letter-of-intent to play college baseball with Coastal Alabama Community College (CACC) South in Bay Minette last week.

Loy chose CACC over hometown ESCC and Wallace-Hanceville.

“It was really convenient for us as a family,” Loy said. “It’s not that far away but it also felt like home. When I went to the campus and met the coaches it just felt like the right fit for me.”

Loy is going into his senior season after earning a .274 batting average with eight doubles, 24 runs and 14 stolen bases as a junior. He also held a .976 fielding percentage with just five errors in 40 games. He also had 52 assists and 54 putouts.

Loy said his goal for his senior season at EHS is simple.

“I want to win the state championship, I think that’s everyone’s goal for high school,” he said. “I also want to just go out there and compete and grow as a player, too.

“I just feel like that you can never get better as a baseball player until you get out there and do it and try things. So, I just want to compete.”

Loy will play shortstop or second base at CACC.
