LEGAL NOTICE

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

Notice is hereby given that a hearing will be held before the Department of Finance of the State of Alabama at the State Capitol, Room E-315, located at 600 Dexter Avenue, Montgomery, Alabama 36104, at 11:00 a.m., on the 10th day of January, 2022,to determine whether consent should be given to Covington Electric Cooperative, Inc., to issue and deliver to THE NATIONAL RURAL UTILITIES COOPERATIVE FINANCE CORPORATION it's note and letter of credit in the principal amounts not to exceed $44,279,000.00 to finance only the system extensions and additions described in RUS Form 740C, Cost Estimates and Loan Budget for Covington Electric Cooperative dated August 3, 2021, together with all necessary appurtenances, in the rural areas of the counties of Covington, Coffee, Crenshaw, Geneva, Dale and Escambia, all in the State of Alabama.

Any person having an interest in the matter may attend the hearing and be heard on the question as to whether the issuance of said notes for the purposes above stated serves a public need and is in the public interest.
