Wolves in sheep’s clothing?

As pastors, we believe abortion is murder. Galatians 1:15, Jeremiah 1:5 The millions of innocent lives taken by government sanctioned abortions is a slap in the face of God Almighty and shows the arrogance of men who profess themselves to be greater than our creator. Romans 1:22,25.

Matthew 5:13 teaches us to be the conscience for those that have none. So we will not align ourselves with the Democratic Party’s pro abortion platform.

Surprisingly, when reviewing the current slate of Republican statehouse candidates, many had a “D” or “F” rating for conservative voting with CPAC. Wolves in sheep’s clothing? 

Even the House rules chairman had a 40 percent conservative voting record in 2015 averaging only 58- 60 percent over his career. We found Republicans arrested for domestic violence and of course we recently had those in the party that denied the wolf inside until the proof was undeniable.

We alerted ALGOP’s John Wahl and Reed Phillips on Feb. 15 of a very troubling campaign website promoting Democratic funding and abortion by Rep. Mike Jones Jr., which was publicly viewable for several months. To the public, openly promoting funding of the Democrat’s abortion groups by a high ranking Republican had the same deleterious effect as if we pastors told our parishioners we were innocently frequenting a bar for months by mistake.

Within hours of the email being delivered. The donate button on Representative Jones campaign website linking to ACT BLUE the Democrat fund raising arm for pro-abortion NARAL prominently displayed on his site, was moved to another part of the website with a different funding source.

After multiple phone calls and texts we finally got a call from the ALGOP executive director the following month, informing us that the website Chairman Jones had setup was just a (Democratic) “template” and publicly linking the Republican party to a Democrat funding source promoting abortion for months was an innocent “mistake.” We were asked to believe that a Republican in leadership, with the same “F” rating as Democrats, has the wisdom and intelligence to read laws affecting the lives and livelihood of Alabamians but didn’t once read his own website this or last year. Isn’t that how Gov. Bentley, Speaker Hubbard and SOS Merrill sounded when they were caught? 

How often, and how far up the food chain, have these cover-ups been going and how many of our legislators are Democrats in Republican clothing?
