The Alabama Sports Writers Association all-state selections were announced this past weekend and Enterprise’s Elijah Terry was selected to the Class 7A first-team.
Terry is a 6’6” senior at EHS who averaged 15.4 points, 9.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.7 steals this season as a huge contributor to the Class 7A championship the Wildcats won and was named the MVP of the state tournament. Terry was a third-team all-state selection last year.
He is also a finalist for player of the year in Class 7A, which will be announced at the annual ASWA banquet in Montgomery at the Renaissance on March 31 along with Mr. and Miss Basketball. The banquet is sponsored by Alfa and the Alabama high school athletic directors and coaches association.
Terry also participated in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic earlier this month. He had 11 rebounds, three assists, two blocked shots and four points turning in one of the defensive efforts of the game to help Alabama win 96-89.
