Phi Kappa Phi inducts new members
The following people recently were initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines.
Janelle Hite at George Mason University and Nadia Newkirk at Kansas State University, both of Enterprise.
They are among approximately 25,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year. Membership is by invitation only and requires nomination and approval by a chapter. Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors are eligible for membership. Graduate students in the top 10 percent of the number of candidates for graduate degrees may also qualify, as do faculty, professional staff and alumni who have achieved scholarly distinction.
Wallace Community College releases Dean’s List Spring 2022
Wallace Community College recently announced the Dean’s List for Spring 2022. Students awarded to the Dean’s List must have completed a minimum of 12 semester hours with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
Local students named to the Spring 2022 Dean’s List include Rebecca Billings, Kaleea Brooks, Megan Dooling Teralyn Dunn and Citlaly Perez of Enterprise.
Braden earns degree from UNG
For the Spring 2022 semester, the University of North Georgia (UNG) awarded about 1,700 degrees and 25 certificates to graduates. About 1,300 graduates participated in the Spring 2022 commencement ceremonies held May 6-7 at the Convocation Center on UNG’s Dahlonega Campus.
Jennifer Braden of Enterprise graduated with an Advanced Certificate in Transfer Leadership & Practice.
Local students candidates for graduation from Utah State
Utah State University recognized 6,588 candidates for graduation during its Spring 2022 Commencement celebration. The graduates are from USU’s statewide campuses across the state of Utah, as well as USU Online, earning degrees and certificates during the Summer 2021, Fall 2021 and Spring 2022 semesters.
The following local students earned degrees:
Brian Gengler, Jessica Latin and Shannon Tanton, all of Enterprise, earned a bachelor’s degree.
