Diana Pyatt was honored at the Daleville Board of Education meeting Nov. 17 with the presentation of the “Extra Mile” award for service above and beyond the call of duty. “Not only are you professional but you are also personable,” Windham Elementary School Principal Carrie Heninger told Pyatt, who is the child nutrition assistant manager. “You greet all the students every day with your smiling eyes.” From left, are Daleville City Schools Superintendent Dr. Lisa Stamps, Pyatt and Heninger.
