Daleville graduate Jalen White once again showed off his potential for the Georgia Southern Eagles as he led them past Texas State by a score of 38-30 on Nov. 13.
With Georgia Southern starting running back Logan Wright bottled up, White was able to find success for the Eagles and would score both Georgia State’s first and last touchdowns of the day.
White scored on a 19-yard run in the first half to give the Eagles a 10-7 lead. Late in the fourth quarter, with the Eagles leading 31-27, White scored on a 5-yard run to seal the win as Texas State managed one more score with under two minutes to go but couldn’t draw any closer.
White finished the night with 82 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries. After White rushed for 157 yards and two touchdowns against Arkansas State on Oct. 2, he never received more than four carries in a game until he exploded against Texas State.
For the season, White has rushed for 307 yards and four touchdowns on just 51 carries. His six yards per carry leads Georgia Southern. Georgia Southern has just two games remaining this season, against BYU on Nov. 20 and Appalachian State on Nov. 27.
