The Enterprise High School Track and Field program hosted 10 area teams Friday, Feb. 25, at the third annual Enterprise Invite including athletes from Ashford, Dale County, Dothan, Geneva, Headland, Houston Academy, Northside Methodist, Opp and Providence.
EHS finished first in the team rankings with a score of 509 points. Dothan finished second with 193.5 points and Providence finished third with a score of 131.5 points.
Enterprise athletes finishing in the Top 10 are as follows:
• In the girls 100 meter dash, Aniyah Kitt finished first in 12.69, Jaziya Watkins finished second in 12.97, A’Mirah Baldwin finished fourth in 13.76, Makayala Bass finished fifth in 13.82, Joye Anderson finished sixth in 13.87 and J’Aimya Reese finished 10th in 14.23.
• in the girls 200 meter dash, Isabella Ming finished third in 28.38, Baldwin finished fourth in 28.62, Abby Shipp finished sixth in 29.18 and Tyra Haynes finished seventh in 30.54.
• In the girls 400 meter dash, Shipp finished sixth in 1:11.82 and Jade Newkirk finished ninth in 1:15.97.
• In the girls 800 meter run, Emma McCrea finished second in 2:41.16, Madeline Nichols finished third in 2:42.44, Anmarie Jenkins finished fourth in 2:46.81, Kamryn Wile finished sixth in 2:52.43, Syreeta Brinson finished seventh in 2:53.34 and Natalie Prater finished ninth in 2:55.13.
• In the girls 1600 meter run, McCrea finished fourth in 6:03.30, Jenkins finished fifth in 6:06.99, Hannah Nichols finished sixth in 6:08.61, Wile finished eighth in 6:13.17 and Prater finished 10th in 6:33.36.
• In the girls 100 meter hurdles, Amariia Leggett finished first in 17.77 and Anna Kathryn Walker finished third in 21.08.
• In the girls 300 meter hurdles, Kya Elston finished fifth in 57.69, Nijah Brady finished sixth in 57.90 and Elyce Walker finished eighth in 1:00.17.
• In the girls 4x100 meter relay, the EHS “A” team of Anderson, Kitt, Bass and Watkins finished first in 49.68, EHS “B” team of Bianca Gray, Jamesha Howard, Haynes and Miriam Bolaji finished second in 52.37. EHS “C” team of Nyema Wiley, Deshauia Burger, Madden Galloni and Reese finished fourth in 55.10.
• In the girls 4x200 meter relay, EHS “A” team of Anderson, Kitt, Bass and Watkins finished first in 1:47.82, EHS “B” team of Gray, Howard, Haynes and Bolaji finished second in 1:53.45 and EHS “C” team of Wiley, Burger, Reese and Galloni finished fourth in 2:02.19.
• In the girls 4x400 relay, EHS “A” team of Dankia Alvarado, Baldwin, Ming and Shipp finished second in 4:58.62.
• In the girls high jump, Howard finished first with a jump of 4’8”, Leggett finshed second with a jump of 4’6” and Autumn Twitty finished third with a jump of 4’4”.
• In the girls pole vault, Aezia Gafney finished first with a vault of 6’6”.
• In the girls long jump, Jamilla Ballew finished first with a jump of 15’3” and Ava Barkley finshed third with a jump of 14’11”.
• In the girls shot put, Sarah Amos finished third with a throw of 33’, Raven Jump finished fifth with a throw of 29 ‘7” and Chanel Hicks finished seventh with a throw of 26”2”.
• In the girls discus throw, Amos finished second with a throw of 94’5”, Jump finished seventh with a throw of 64’1” and Alexis Adams finished eighth with a throw of 64’1”.
• In the girls javelin throw, Jazalyn Knight finished second with a throw of 70’6” and Rasheeda Moreland finished fourth with a throw of 66’11”.
• In the boys 100 meter dash, Eran Foye finished first in 11.87, Jonathan Whitt finished fourth in 12.18, Kendrett Green finished seventh in 12.23 and Amare Griffin finished eighth in 12.30.
• In the 400 meter dash, Jace Himes finished ninth in 58.01.
• In the 800 meter run, Brett Tessay finished first in 2:10.52, Kristyan DeJesus finished third in 2:19.91, Bowden Michael finished fourth in 2:21.16 and Kaleb Ogden finished seventh in 2:34.02.
• In the boys 1600 meter run, Brett Tessay finished second in 4:53.63, Michael finished sixth in 5:02.71, DeJesus finished eighth in 5:14.52 and Jacob Tillery finished ninth in 5:22.49.
• In the boys 110 meter hurdles, Dain Grimes finished first in 15.73, Donovan Dee finished second in 19.30 and Maddox Fogarty finished eighth in 22.20.
• In the boys 300 meter hurdles, Grimes finished first in 43.05, Jy’rell Reese finished fourth in 50.30 and Jordan Harmon finished ninth in 52.77.
• In the boys 4x100 meter relay, EHS “C” team of Camrin Wolf, Will Faught, Caleb Nalls and Whitt finished sixth in 50.32.
• In the boys 4x200 meter relay, EHS “A” team of Erys Nalls, Marzavious Reed, Griffin and Johntavious Hooten finished second in 1:41.28.
• In the boys 4x400 relay, EHS “A” team of Isaac Alba, Amir Rich, Himes and Kendrett Green finished second in 3:51.34.
• In the boys high jump, Foye finished first with a jump of 6’2”, Andrew Purcell finished second with a jump of 6’, Courtney Sanders finished third with a jump of 5’8” and Harmon finished fourth with a jump of 5’6”.
• In the boys pole vault, Grimes finished first with a vault of 9’6” and Himes finished second with a vault of 9’.
• In the boys long jump, Grimes finished first and set a school record with a jump of 22’7”, Foye finished second with a jump of 21’1”Sanders finished fourth with a jump of 20’ and Reese finished tenth with a jump of 18’5”.
• In the boys triple jump, Harmon finished second with a jump of 37’3”, Donovan Dee finished fourth with a jump of 34’, Kaden Hughes finished fifth with a jump of 32’7” and Reese finished seventh with a jump of 31’11”.
• In the boys shot put, Xavier Henderson finished fourth with a throw of 40’1”, Preston Powell finished seventh with a throw of 38’10 ½“ and Maurice Martin finished eighth with a throw of 38’9 3/4”.
• In the boys discus throw, Henderson finished second with a throw of 115’3”, Matthew Endrihs finished fourth with a throw of 96’1” and Jacob Ryun finished 10th with a throw of 79’3”.
• In the boys javelin throw, Henderson finished third with a throw of 117’7”, Himes finished fifth with a throw of 110’6”, Dekaine Leonard finished sixth with a throw of 106’3”, John Parker Mitten finished seventh with a throw of 97’6” and Sam Haglund finished 10th with a throw of 85’5”.
• In the mixed 3200 meter run, Ogden finished first in 12:46.57 and Natalie Prater finished second in 13:53.66.
• In the mixed 4x800, EHS “D” team of DeJesus, Michael, Tillery and Tessay finished first, EHS “C” team of Malachi Stafford, Ben Pike, Harmon and Nichols finished second, EHS “A” team of McCrea, Nichols, Wile and Lauren Rodgers finished seventh and EHS “B” team of Ballew, Julianna Gingrich, Nichols and Prater finished eighth.
