The Enterprise High School boys varsity soccer team faced off against area foe Dothan on Thursday, Feb. 24 and came away a 4-3 winner. The JV team fell to Dothan’s team 1-0 in the first match.
The first goal for the varsity Cats was at the 27:15 mark by Minjae Kim on an assist by Drew Suter. The Cats scored their second goal at the 14:15 mark of the first half by Payton Polidore on an assist by Diego Sammur and went into the half ahead 2-0.
Enterprise started the second half off with the second goal of the match by Kim with an assist by Stephane Pejon at the 36:39 mark. Sammur scored the final goal of the match at the 31:32 mark.
Goalkeeper Jonah Sidanycz had 11 saves for the Cats with Dothan having 18 shots on goal. EHS had five shots on goal.
The Cats varsity and JV played St. Michaels of Fairhope on Saturday, Feb. 26. The varsity came away with a tie 1-1 and the JV lost 3-2.
Polidore scored the lone goal for the Cat at the 15:48 mark of the second half on an assist by Suter. St. Michaels scored with 1 second left in the match to tie it up.
Goalkeeper Cody Kirk had six saves.
