Enterprise native Emanuel Terry competed for the Sacramento Kings in the California Classic during the NBA Summer League Aug. 3-4.
Terry, who grew up in Enterprise before moving to Birmingham in high school, is coming fresh off a successful NBA G-League season with the Agua Caliente Clippers. During the annual NBA Summer League, NBA teams bring in rookies, second-year players and G-League players hoping to make an NBA roster to compete in tournaments and exhibition games.
The Kings, Miami Heat, Los Angeles Heat and Golden State Warriors competed in this year’s California Classic with the Kings going 0-2 during the two-day series losing 89-82 to the Warriors and 84-74 to the Lakers. Terry started for the Kings in both games.
Terry totaled nine points, 14 rebounds, two assists and two blocks against the Warriors, while netting 16 points and nine rebounds against the Lakers. Terry’s 23 total rebounds was second among all players in the California Classic.
