Taylor Danford (24) had a big day against Dothan this week with three aces and nine kills.

The Enterprise Lady Cats (11-4, 2-0) picked up their first area win of the season with a 3-0 shutout of the Prattville Lady Lions on Sept. 15 and earned another 3-0 win over Dothan on Sept. 20 before winning the 12th annual Enterprise Invitational over the weekend.

The Lady Cats dominated all three sets 25-9, 25-5 and 25-19 to pick up the clean sweep. Enterprise was led by Sammie Neuwien with six aces and 18 assists, while Taylor Danford added three aces, nine kills and two digs.

Hannah Chang also chipped in with nine kills and one block, while Heather Holtz earned two aces, 12 assists and two digs. Lily Rhodes totaled two aces and nine digs, while both Jadyn Britton and Zationna Horne earned six kills each. Britton also had one block and Horne had two blocks.

The Lady Cats followed up with a 3-0 win over the UMS Wright Bobcats on Sept. 17 winning all three sets 25-18, 25-13 and 25-21. Holtz led Enterprise with six aces, 15 assists and 17 digs, while Britton totaled 10 kills and Hannah Chang earned eight kills. Neuwien also chipped in with 12 assists and Rhoades had 33 digs.

On Sept. 20, Enterprise knocked off area rival Dothan winning all three sets 25-17, 25-13 and 25-20. Danford led the way with three aces and nine kills, while Britton totaled eight kills and Chang chipped in with seven kills and two blocks. Holtz had 26 assists and Rhoades had 12 digs. Horne earned three blocks.

The Lady Cats captured the gold in the 12th annual Enterprise Invitational on Sept. 18 with an undefeated record of 6-0 in the tournament.

Enterprise defeated Andalusia, Central-Phenix City and Charles Henderson in pool play before knocking off Houston Academy 2-0 in the quarterfinals, UMS Wright 2-1 in the semifinals and 2-1 over GW Long in the championship game.

Enterprise lost the first set against Long 25-18 but bounced back to win the final two sets 25-18 and 15-11 to capture the tournament championship.

In the tournament, Taylor Danford led the way with eight aces, 38 digs and 28 kills. Kayden Taylor also had 16 aces and 32 digs, while Sammie Neuwien totaled 11 aces and 42 assists. Jadyn Britton chipped in with 38 kills and Hannah Chang also had 30 kills and seven blocks, while Lily Rhoades 38 digs and Heather Holtz had 42 assists. Zationna Horne also had nine blocks.

The JV Lady Cats also swept Prattville winning both sets 25-11 and 25-13. Karis Snell earned six aces against Prattville, while Riley Stewart totaled three kills and Ella Little chipped in with four aces and four assists. Alivia Freeman also had three kills and two blocks.

The JV Lady Cats also won the Raider Invitational at Houston Academy last weekend. Enterprise beat Northside Methodist 2-0 and then knocked off host team Houston Academy Team 2 in two sets. The JV Lady Cats closed out pool play with a 2-0 win over Carroll and then beat Houston Academy Team 1 in two sets in the semifinals before picking up another win over Houston Academy Team 2 by a score of 2-1 in the championship round.

In the championship game, Enterprise lost the first set 25-23 – which is the only set in the entire tournament the JV Lady Cats lost – before winning the last two sets 25-13 and 15-11. Freeman was a force for the JV Lady Cats with 28 kills and 16 blocks in the tournament, while Snell totaled 23 digs and 12 aces. Little amassed nine digs, 26 assists and nine aces, while Lily Stracener earned 11 aces and Stewart totaled 15 kills.

The Freshman Lady Cats swept Providence Christian and Auburn in a tri-match on Sept. 10. Enterprise beat Providence Christian 25-16 and 25-21 before knocking off Auburn 25-19 and 25-18.

In those two games, the Freshman Lady Cats were led by Lily Darlington with four digs, 13 assists and four aces, while Karsyn Hamm earned 11 kills and Gracyn Snell totaled four kills.
