The Enterprise High School track and field team had another big day at the third home meet of the season on March 13 and yet again a number of track members broke school records.

The girls 4x100 relay team of Aniyah Kitt, Rachel Peterson, Tyra Haynes and Jaziya Watkins set the school record time of 49.64 on their way to earning the gold. Dain Grimes also set a school record in the hurdles and Jalen Cunningham set the school record in the boys long jump, breaking the previous record held by current Houston Cougar Marcus Jones.

Raven Jump also set the school record in the girls shot put beating the previous record set by teammate Sarah Amos.

Amariia Leggett captured third place in the girls high jump with Jamesha Howard coming in fourth place, while Howard finished in third place in the girls long jump with Watkins coming in fourth place.

Jocelyn Jones finished in third place for the girls triple jump with Leggett coming in fourth place and Madisen James in fifth place. Leggett also took the silver in the girls pole vault and Alexis Brunney came in third place.

James finished runner-up in the girls discus with Amos coming in third place and Kayana Luke in fifth place. Marissa Thrash took the gold in the girls javelin toss with Jocelyn Jones taking second place and Brunney finishing in fifth place.

Jump finished in second place in the girls shot put with Amos in third and Luke in sixth place.

The girls 4x200-meter relay also took first place and the girls 800-meter sprint medley took second place. The girls 4x800-meter hurdle took third place.

Eran Foye captured the gold in the boys high jump with Amare Griffin taking the silver and Tomorris Green in third place and Jordan Harmon in fifth place.

Cunningham took first in the long jump with Jaylon Webster in second place and Tanner Rogers in seventh place. Foye also took the gold in the boys triple jump and Cunningham took third place in with Harmon in fifth place.

Brison Chatman earned first place in the boys pole vault with Max Faught capturing the silver and Jace Himes taking third place.

Preston Powell finished in third place in the boys discus toss and Xavier Henderson came in seventh place.

Josh McCray took fourth place in the boys javelin throw in his first time competing in that event, while Henderson came in fifth place, Grimes came in sixth, Johntavious Hooten finished in seventh and Foye came in ninth place.

Powell earned third place in the boys shot put with Dezmon Thomas coming in fifth place, Gimes in ninth place and Cole Killingsworth in 10th.

The boys 4x100-meter relay and 4x200-meter relay both took first place, while the 800-meter sprint medley took second place. The boys 4x400-meter hurdle relay team captured second place and the 4x400-meter relay team took third. The 4x800-meter relay team also captured first place with the boys distance medley team taking first place.
