The Alabama National Guard will be assisting the Alabama Department of Health in setting up a one-day vaccination site in Enterprise this coming week.
The vaccination site will be at the Enterprise Civic Center – at 2401 Neil Metcalf Road – from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on March 24. The site will have more than 1,000 COVID-19 vaccines to administer that day. It will be a walk-up clinic that does not require an appointment or reservation.
The ADPH is asking residents to not arrive before 9 a.m. as to not interfere with the setup or back up traffic.
Eligibility for the vaccine has been expanded to anyone over the age of 55 and those with “chronic conditions.” More information about those conditions can be found at https://www.alabamapublichealth.gov/covid19vacccine/.
The Coffee County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) is asking all churches and other volunteer organizations interesting in transporting people from their respective communities to the vaccine clinic to contact the Coffee County EMA at (334) 894-5415.
“Our goal with this vaccine site is to reach as many of our underserved communities and areas as possible with these vaccines,” Coffee County EMA Director James Brown said.
Another clinic for the second vaccination will be held on April 14.
