The New Brockton Gamecocks picked up a big win on the road last week defeating the Samson Tigers 75-38 on Dec. 10.

New Brockton dominated from start to close, outscoring Samson in all four quarters. The Gamecocks outscored Samson 17-6 in the first quarter, 19-8 in the second quarter, 12-10 in the third quarter and 26-14 in the fourth quarter.

Both Yassiah Rousseau and Matt Smith earned double-doubles for the Gamecocks as Smith scored 16 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and earned six steals and two blocks on defense, while Rousseau scored 18 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. Baylon Foster added 12 points, as well.

The Lady Gamecock struggled to a 50-20 loss, however. Aniya Barkley led New Brockton with six points in the loss.

New Brockton is back at it this Thursday, Dec. 16, against Elba before hosting Kinston on Dec. 17 in back-to-back home games.
