NOTICE OF ADOPTION AND FINAL PASSAGE OF

ORDINANCE 07-06-21-A

GRANTING TROY CABLEVISION, INC. A CABLE TELEVISION FRANCHISE

            Pursuant to Alabama Code §11-45-8, the City Council of the City of Enterprise gives notice of adoption and final passage of Ordinance 07-06-21-A granting Troy Cablevision, Inc. a non-exclusive cable television system franchise.

The purpose and effect of the ordinance relate to the approval of Troy Cablevision, Inc. maintaining a non-exclusive franchise to construct, operate and maintain a cable television system in the City of Enterprise for a ten (10) year period from the execution of the franchise agreement by Troy Cablevision, Inc., which is expected to take place in July of 2021.  The Ordinance grants Troy Cablevision, Inc. the right to use City right of ways to construct, operate and maintain its cable system in accordance with the terms of the franchise agreement.  Troy Cablevision, Inc. will pay to the City five percent (5%) of gross revenues as defined in the franchise agreement.

The categories of the businesses affected by the granting of the franchise are cable television systems and the substance of the ordinance is as stated above.

The Ordinance was passed on July 20, 2021, and takes effect on the date of this publication, subject to Troy Cablevision’s signature on the franchise agreement which is expected to occur prior to the expiration of July, 2021.

A copy of the full ordinance is available for inspection at the Office of the City Clerk, City Hall 501 South Main Street, Enterprise, Alabama, between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
