Well folks, we made it through the first 100 days of Biden’s presidency. What has he accomplished for Americans during that time?

Let’s do the math.

Our southern border is facing a 400 percent increase in illegal immigrant apprehensions compared to last year, including 172,331 crossings in the month of March alone. After canceling the Keystone XL Pipeline, Biden ruthlessly killed 11,000 jobs. Unfortunately, an additional 1 million blue-collar workers could be unemployed due to Biden’s radical climate policies. Not to mention, Biden’s spending is out of control. First, it was nearly $2 trillion for “COVID relief.” Now, it’s $4 trillion for “infrastructure” and social spending. Keep in mind, none of these proposals are bipartisan.

Despite vowing unity, Biden’s first 100 days have been filled with broken promises, failed solutions and empty rhetoric.

Democrats’ message is crystal clear: they will stop at nothing to keep and obtain power. From aiming to federalize our elections through the For the Politicians Act to attempting to overturn the election results in Iowa’s Second Congressional District, liberals in Washington are severely out of touch with the needs of the American people.

Earlier this month, they introduced radical legislation to expand the number of U.S. Supreme Court Justices from 9 to 13. Years ago, court packing was largely inconceivable. Now, the far Left is normalizing a plan that undermines our nation’s highest court.

Next, Pelosi successfully passed H.R. 51, which would grant statehood to Washington, D.C. This unconstitutional move isn’t about representing the citizens of District Columbia; Democrats are far more interested in gaining two liberal Senators to expand their razor-thin majority.

These dangerous power grabs are concerning for the future of our nation. I’m proud to support legislation that keeps the Court at its current nine Justices and achieves fair representation by returning D.C. to Maryland. Rest assured, I will continue fighting back against Democrats’ attempts to fundamentally change America as we know it.

Last month, President Biden finally addressed a joint session of Congress. Unfortunately, he continued to duck taking responsibility for the mayhem at the southern border that he created and only spent a meager three minutes addressing the greatest border crisis we’ve seen in decades. The remaining time was spent reaffirming his commitment to radical liberal elites by touting far-left policies that will come at the expense of everyday American families.

The only thing America needs to be rescued from is this administration’s socialist policies that will leave hardworking Americans out in the cold.

Each year, Congress uses the appropriations process to set budget priorities and examine the needs of federal spending programs. Last month, I submitted my requests to the Appropriations Committee on behalf of the constituents I represent.

To be clear, this is not about wasting money on pet projects, and I have made a decision to steer clear of using earmarks until we can make sure the process works for all Americans. From providing resources to law enforcement and supporting our men and women in uniform to prohibiting taxpayer funding for abortions, these requests have the chance to make a real difference in our community. I’m honored to stand up for the needs of Alabama’s Second Congressional District during this process.
