Major (Ret.) John Ray Fuller Jr. U.S. Army, 84, of Enterprise, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2021 at Phillipsburg, St. Maarten.
A Celebration of Life was held Tuesday, Dec. 28 at Heritage United Methodist Church, Enterprise. Memorials may be made to Heritage United Methodist Church Building Fund.
Mr. Fuller retired from the U. S. Army after serving 20 years. He was a helicopter pilot, served two tours in Vietnam with 2,027 combat flight hours. He received the Distinguish Flying Cross, Bronze star, Air-medal with 58 Oak Leaf Clusters, 4 with V device, Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Palm and Master Aviator Badge. After retirement from the army, he flew as a civilian primary instructor pilot for 14 years, 13,000 plus hours flight time in helicopters. S.A.R., Heritage United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, John Ray and Mariemma Plant Fuller and a grandson, Justin Sperling.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Sue Fuller of Enterprise; son and daughter-in-law, John Ray Fuller III (Trey) and Beth of Harker Heights, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, JoAnna Fuller Sperling and Brian of Madison; grandsons, Joshua Sperling (Savanna) of Madison; Ethan John Fuller of Auburn; granddaughters, Alana Sperling of Madison; Evan Fuller of Harker Heights, Texas; a brother, William Fuller of Opelika.
