Ozark man arrested for burglary

Jonathan Bundy

A man has been arrested in connection with a burglary that occurred at a residence on Porter Andrews Road in Ozark.

Jonathan Bundy, 29, is in Dale County Jail pending a first appearance following his arrest Dec. 25 at approximately 1:45 p.m. by Ozark police officers, according to Ozark Police Chief Col. Charles Ward.

Ward said that approximately four hours after reports of the burglary Bundy was located traveling in Troy. Upon locating the vehicle, Troy police attempted to initiate a traffic stop but Bundy fled, leading police on a vehicular pursuit, Ward said. Bundy later crashed and was arrested without further incident. He was found in possession of the firearms during the burglary of the Porter Andrews Road residence.

Bundy is charged with third-degree burglary and first-degree theft of property.

The Ozark police thank the Troy Police Department, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency and the Pike County Sheriff’s Office for assistance in the case.
