Nevaeh Pettway fouls off a pitch.

The Daleville Lady Hawks scored 12 runs in the first inning and ran away from Houston County 15-0 in three innings when the game was called on Monday, Feb. 28.

Haley Jones led off the bottom of the first with a single and the Lady Hawks followed with three straight walks to score the first run. Nevaeh Pettway, Camry Carr and Katie Harry were all hit by a pitch, Kaleigh Carr hit a single and Rosalee Lascano hit a triple later in the inning to clear the bases and score three more runs.

Lascano started the game on the mound for the Lady Hawks pitching one inning and recording two strikeouts. Katelyn High came out of the bullpen to pitch two innings and record five strikeouts. The two combined for the shutout.

Lascano also led at the plate going 1-for-1 with a triple and 3 RBIs while scoring 2 runs. Jones went 1-for-1 with an RBI and scoring 2 runs, Camry Carr went 1-for-1 with 3 RBIs and scoring 1 run, Kaleigh Carr went 1-for-1 with 2 RBIs and scoring one run, and Tierra Minnefield went 1-for-1 scoring 2 runs.

Wicksburg 16, Daleville 0

Daleville watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 16-0 loss to Wicksburg on Tuesday, March 1. The Lady Panthers scored 10 runs in the first two innings and three more in the next two innings.

Lascano pitched all three innings for the Lady Hawks giving up 15 hits and 16 runs.

Lashundraw Straw led the Lady Hawks at the plate going 2-for-2 with a double. Lascano went 1-for-2, also hitting a double.

Providence 16, Daleville 0

It was a tough day for the Lady Hawks on Thursday, March 3, as the Providence Lady Eagles scored 9 runs in the top of the second inning and 7 runs in the top of the third before the game was called.

Alissa Haris started the game for Daleville allowing 16 runs on 20 hits to Providence in three innings of work.

Straw led the Lady Hawks at the plate going 1-for-1 and getting the only hit for Daleville in the game.
