Daleville punter Jeremiah Walters (24) kicks for the Warhawks.

The Daleville Warhawks (0-5, 0-3) continued to have trouble finding success last week as they fell by a score of 55-0 to Class 3A, Region 2 foe Opp Bobcats (4-1, 3-0) on the road.

Daleville managed just 68 yards – almost all of it coming in the second half – as Opp had 290 yards of offense despite the game operating under a running clock in the second half. Opp scored all 55 points in the first two quarters of play.

Opp scored four touchdowns in both the first and second quarter as quarterback Gray Jennings completed 10-of-14 pass attempts for 228 yards and three touchdowns. His favorite target was running back Jaterrius Davis as he caught three passes for 111 yards and a touchdown to go along with his 35 yards and one touchdown on just four carries.

Jennings threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Jackson Pierce, a 2-yard touchdown pass to DaDa Stoudemire and a 49-yard pass to Davis. Jennings also scored on a 4-yard run. Davis scored on a 1-yard run and Zeb Green scored on a 4-yard run. Robbie Gafford scored a touchdown on a bad snap on a Daleville punt attempt.

For Daleville, quarterback Omarion Pinckney completed 2-of-13 pass attempts for 23 yards and his first career interception, while he also rushed for 65 yards on 19 carries. Jeremiah Walters caught one pass for 15 yards.

On defense, linebacker Caden Elmore led the way with five tackles, 0.5 tackles-for-loss and 0.5 sack. TJ Waller recorded three tackles, a quarterback hurry and blocked a PAT, while Zacorey Culver recorded two tackles, one tackle-for-loss and 0.5 sack.

Daleville turned the ball over three times with an interception and two fumbles lost. The Warhawks also had two low snaps on punts that led to touchdowns.
