Eighteen years after a devastating tornado hit town, one of the businesses that was forced to close as a result is set to make its return to town. Wendy’s, located at 85 North Daleville Avenue, reopened on Monday, April 6 on a drive thru only basis. The brand new, state of the art Wendy’s is situated on the same location as the original Wendy’s in town.

“We are proud to bring back the Wendy’s brand back to Daleville. Mayor Stayton and his team have been great partners in helping make this happen,” said Brian McDaniel, Senior Vice President of Carlisle, franchisee of The Wendy’s Company. “We wish we were able to open under different circumstances, but our commitment to serve the community is strong and will remain so for many, many years to come” added McDaniel.

Carlisle is a Memphis-based, family founded and operated specialty-hospitality company owning over 150 Wendy’s restaurants across the Southeast. Carlisle Wendy’s restaurants are well known for delivering world class service and great tasting food to their guests. Carlisle’s operational excellence and leadership have been recognized throughout the years by Wendy’s.

I am excited to see the return of Wendy’s! I was the very first cashier at Wendy’s in Daleville in 1984. I also was given the honor of playing “Wendy” in costume for various parades and local functions! I’d love to return for the grand opening!!! Would be an honor!!
