“This game will forever be in my memory as one of the special ones,” Troy coach Chanda Rigby said of the Jackson State win. “I’ve coached a lot of players with a lot of heart, but I’ve never really witnessed the level of determination our Trojans displayed today.
“At one point they scored 15 points in 1:47 of playing time. They went from down 24 points to up 17 points. That’s determination. That’s the heart of a Trojan Warrior.”
Leggett earned Sun Belt Player of the Week for her performances in the MTE. Leggett averaged 20 points and 11 rebounds during the weekend.
The Lady Trojans are back at home on Dec. 30 against Coastal Carolina as Sun Belt action begins. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m.
