JACQUELINE ANDERSON JONES

Jacqueline Anderson Jones, 80, of Chancellor, passed away Thursday, Jan. 20, 2022 at Flowers Hospital.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Jan. 24, at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Rev. Howard Moore and Rev. Joel Snell officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 1 p.m. until service time. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Holloway Tabernacle Assembly of God Church, 1127 County Road 639, Coffee Springs, AL 36318.

Jacqueline “Jackie” Anderson Jones was born on Dec. 17, 1941 in Orlando, Fla., to the late Hub and Rosalie Anderson. She will be remembered for her kind and caring labors of love. Her passion was being with family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She always said “what happens at grandma’s, stays at grandma’s”. She always had a story to share at our gatherings and we all would be tickled with her jovial tell of the story.

Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by a son, Michael Ray Jones and her husband, Walter Ray Jones.

Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Davis (Charles) of Chancellor; two sons, Tommy Jones of Chancellor and Greg Jones (Deena) of Coffee Springs; three grandchildren, Michael L. Jones, Morgan Jones and Bryant Davis; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Maxine Stills and Barbara Vonier; and many nieces and nephews.
