Kinston High School senior softball player Kelsi Cardwell signed a letter-of-intent to accept a scholarship offer from Shelton State Community College last week.
Cardwell is heading into her senior season at Kinston after earning a .490 batting average last season as a junior. She also held a .585 on-base percentage and 35 RBIs. Playing from her primary position of second base and secondary spot at shortstop, she earned a 92.8 fielding percentage, as well.
