The Troy Trojans added another Power-5 opponent to a future football schedule last week as Troy will travel to Iowa on Sept. 14, 2024.
Troy’s visit to Iowa’s Kinnick Stadium will be the first time Troy has battled a Big 10 school since facing Nebraska in 2018. Troy is 1-8 all-time against Big 10 schools with that 2018 win over Nebraska being the only win.
Troy’s other non-conference opponents scheduled for 2024 include Southern Miss, Florida A&M and Memphis.
On June 5, the Trojans also announced that they had added the SEC’s Missouri to the 2026 schedule. It will be Troy’s fifth showdown with Missouri and the Trojans’ fourth time traveling to Missouri.
Troy has been steadily adding Power-5 opponents to future schedules over the last few years. In 2020, Troy will play the ACC’s North Carolina State and the SEC’s Tennessee, and Troy will play the SEC’s South Carolina in 2021.
The Trojans will host Army in 2022, travel to the SEC’s Ole Miss in 2022 and travel to both Army and the Big 12’s Kansas State in 2023. Troy also plays Clemson in 2025 and Mississippi State in both 2026 and 2027.
