The Coffee County Branch #5017 of the NAACP Annual Freedom Fund Banquet and Image and Lifetime Achievement Awards is rescheduled to Saturday, Aug. 29, at the Enterprise Civic Center. The event will start at 6 p.m. and the theme will be: The NAACP says, “When We Fight, We Win.”  The guest speaker will be Willie Flowers, president of the Maryland State Conference of the NAACP, formerly from Elba. Melissa and Nina Williams of Elba will be given MVP awards for an outstanding 2019-20 basketball season. Tickets are $25 per person.
