Dear Editor:

The Oscar Club has chosen Saturday, March 19 for the Fifth Annual Enterprise Day of Service. The focus of this day will be on individuals who are interested in improving the lives of citizens as well as attending to areas in need. There will be a short kickoff at 8 a.m. at Bates Memorial Stadium.

The Oscar Club is encouraging all individuals, civic clubs, churches, youth groups and businesses to embrace a service project that will enhance Enterprise. Show your Enterpride by joining a group and be a part of a large project or participate individually in a small project.

A special “thank you” is extended to the many churches, clubs, mission/youth groups, businesses, organizations, and individuals who have reached out with assistance to help improve the lives and conditions of so many citizens over the past few years. Our hopes are that you will join local volunteers again in this worthwhile cause.

Mark your calendar and gather a group of friends, family, co-workers, church members, club members (the list goes on and on) with a mind to work and a heart to serve. Let us know by email at csgoolsby@centurytel.net if you have something in mind or if you have some questions.
