Local students graduate from Auburn
Auburn University’s Fall 2020 graduates were recognized at the university’s commencement ceremonies on Saturday, Dec. 12 in Jordan-Hare Stadium. More than 2,000 Fall graduates were scheduled to graduate during Fall semester. Individual colleges and schools recognized graduates at set ceremony times, beginning with doctoral students. Following brief remarks by the dean of each college to families and guests, graduates had the opportunity to walk across the stage, receive their copy of The Auburn Creed from their dean and pose for photographs with their name on the video board.
Local students receiving their master’s degree included Peter Herring of Enterprise.
Local students receiving their graduate certificate include Brandi Sierra Howard of New Brockton.
Local students receiving their bachelor’s degree include Alexander C. Cardona, Christopher John Del Amo, Juan M. Fernandez, Lauren E. Fleming, Alexis P. Jones, Taylor R. Kyser, Ho Lee, Teressa M. Montalvo, Robert Vincent Sharp, Noel Alexander Shorts and John M. Wagner of Enterprise; and Grant P. Griffin and James W. Pollard of New Brockton.
Butler named to UM Fall 2020 Dean’s Honor Roll
Danielle Alexis Butler, of Enterprise, was recently named to the University of Mississippi’s Fall 2020 Honor Roll lists.
Butler was named to the Dean’s Honor Roll, which is reserved for students who earn a semester GPA of 3.50-3.74.
In order to be eligible for honor roll designation, a student must have completed at least 12 graded hours for the semester and may not be on academic probation during the semester.
