Two women have been arrested and one person is still being sought by police after a shooting incident that occurred Wednesday, Jan. 20, at 3:05 p.m.
Tayler Page Davis, 18, and Kenyetta Nicole Thompson, 24, both listed on the jail inmate roster with Chancellor addresses, are both charged with conspiracy to commit a controlled substance crime (distribution) and false reporting to law enforcement.
Thompson and Davis were transported to the Coffee County Jail after being arrested.
Enterprise Police Public Information Officer Lt. Billy Haglund said that the EPD responded to a “shots fired” call in the area of Pineview and Holly Hill Road.
“Witnesses advised that shots were fired from a moving vehicle at another vehicle on the roadway,” Haglund said. “No injuries were reported to law enforcement at about 3:05 p.m.
“During this investigation, two victims reported to EPD detectives they were robbed at gunpoint by a black male occupying the vehicle that shots were fired from,” Haglund said. “EPD detectives later determined the robbery was a false report to law enforcement to conceal a drug deal.”
The Enterprise Police Department is still actively searching for the shooter in this investigation, Haglund said. “We request that anyone with information regarding this crime to contact us at (334) 347-2222 or leave an anonymous tip at www.enterprisepd.com.
