Daleville High School announced on Wednesday, Jan. 20, that Charles Henderson assistant coach Will Garner has been tapped as the next Warhawk head football coach.

Garner has spent the past three years as an assistant football coach at Charles Henderson High School in Troy. For the last two years, Garner has served as Charles Henderson’s defensive coordinator and strength and conditioning coach. He’s also served as the schools middle school head coach and varsity defensive backs coach previously.

Before heading to Charles Henderson, he served as defensive line coach at Northview under former Daleville coach Josh Parrish.

The 28-year old Garner grew up in Auburn and was a football and golf standout at Lee-Scott Academy before attending Troy University, where he played on the golf team, as well. Scott graduated from Troy in 2014.

"I can't wait to get started," Garner said after being approved by the board. "I'm so happy to be here, my past has led me here."
