Meeting for European trip set for April 27

EHS FFA selling onions

The Enterprise FFA is selling onions again this year and are now taking orders. Don’t miss out on the best onions around. A 10-pound bag of Vidalia onions is only $10. Orders will be taken through April 29 with delivery the second week of May. If you don’t know an FFA student, you may contact FFA Advisor Keith Hocutt at [email protected] and place your order. Friends of the Library to hold Book Sale

The Friends of the Enterprise Public Library is holding a Spring Booklover’s Sale Friday, April 30, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, May 1, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Members of the Friends of the Enterprise Library organization are eligible to attend the “Friends Only Pre-Sale Event” on Thursday, April 29, from 1 to 6 p.m. New memberships will be accepted prior to the sale and at the door. The sale will take place on the second floor of the library. 

S.O.S. Animal Shelter fundraiser set

A Spring Fling to raise funds for the S.O.S. Animal Shelter is set for Saturday, May 1, at 7 p.m. at the Enterprise Country Club. Tickets are $30 each and may be purchased at S.O.S. Animal Shelter, Enterprise Country Club, White Oak Ale House, Bananas, Century 21, Shop-a-holic, Yancey Parkers, David’s Salon at West Gate, Consignment Cat or from any Rawls Bawl committee member. Must be 21 years old to attend and no outside alcohol is allowed. Dress is Spring Chic or Sunday Best. No jeans please. Make checks payable to Rawls Ball.

Lyster changes number for pharmacy fax

Lyster Army Health Clinic announces a change to the pharmacy’s fax number. The pharmacy’s new fax number 877-374-1656, replaces the current fax number in use to improve communication. The office phone number remains unchanged. Area medical professionals are encouraged to update contact information and utilize the new pharmacy fax number to submit faxed prescriptions. Effective April 1, the previous fax number will no longer be valid. DAV Chapter 99 temporarily closed

DAV Chapter #99 is temporarily closed but will be happy to assist with filing your veterans’ paperwork. For more information, please call Mike Doran at (334) 406-6700 or Chuck Lobdell at (334) 718-5707. Located in the New Brockton Town Hall (Old Armory building) at 706 McKinnon Street.

Chapter 9 DAV meets monthly

Enterprise Chapter 9 of the Disabled American Veterans has monthly meetings at Po Folks Restaurant, 650 Boll Weevil Circle, Enterprise. The meeting is held the second Thursday each month and starts at 6:30 p.m. Come at 6 p.m. to eat prior to the meeting. All pre-retirement active duty and veterans are encouraged to attend. For information concerning the meeting contact DAV office at 334-308-2480 or 802-238-3433. The DAV Claims Office operates from 8 to 11 a.m., Monday through Thursday each week.
