American Legion will hold a yard sale on Friday and Saturday, July 9 and 10 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Post is located at 701 East Lee Street in Enterprise.

JULY 12

The Ma-Chis Lower Creek Indian Tribe of Alabama will be accepting Low Income Home Energy Assistance Application for crisis and cooling for citizens of the Ma-Chis Lower Creek Indian Tribe of Alabama that reside in Alabama’s Second Congressional District on all Mondays in July from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Call 334-897-3207 or email [email protected] for an appointment. Applicants will need to bring a tribal ID card, Social Security cards for all household members, Alabama State ID for all household members over 18, an original bill if the family receives assistance from TANF, a copy of the letter from SNAP, and proof of income for all household members over the age of 18. Anyone that would like to review the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, Low Income Water Assistance Program and Community Service Block Grants may do so by appointment only.

JULY 15

Central Texas College at Fort Rucker will present “College 101.” This event is for anyone considering attending college. Topics will include choosing the “right” college or university, financial assistance to attend college and benefits of a college education. The event will be held Thursday, July 15, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Enterprise Public Library. Please RSVP to director.rucker@ctcd/edu or call (334) 709-4400 for more information. Refreshments will be served.

ONGOING

The Enterprise Senior Citizens Center will be closed through Friday, July 9 for Independence Day Celebration. Classes will resume regular hours Monday, July 9 and are for anyone 60 years of age or older. There is no fee to participate in the senior center program but donations are welcomed. Art classes are offered every Tuesday from 8 until 10 a.m., and 10 a.m. until noon. Game Day will be Tuesday, July 13 at 10 a.m. Classes meet at 2401 Neil Metcalf Road (U.S. Highway 167 North).

JULY 21

The Republican Women of Coffee County will meet Wednesday, July 21, at 11 a.m., at the Enterprise Country Club. Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall will be the guest speaker. Social time begins at 11 a.m. with an optional $12 lunch buffet at 11:30 a.m. The program begins at approximately noon. Everyone is invited, but reservations are required. JULY 29

The 2021 South Alabama Nonprofit Summit is a locally-organized professional development for people who serve in the nonprofit sector. The Summit, which will be virtual again this year, is sponsored by the Alabama Association of Nonprofits, Community Foundation of South Alabama, United Way of Southwest Alabama, University of South Alabama Melton Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation, The First (A National Banking Association), and the South Alabama Coalition of Nonprofits. This year’s summit will be held Thursday, July 29, from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Registration is $10 for all four sessions. To register, go to the website at www.SACNP.org
