Enterprise City Hall and other city facilities will be closed Monday, Jan. 17, in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Day
The Department of Public Works Sanitation crews will be picking up the Monday garbage route on Tuesday. Tuesday’s garbage route will be serviced on Wednesday. The pick-up schedule for the remainder of the week will be unchanged.
City offices will resume normal hours on Tuesday, Jan. 18.

CCCD schedules January board meeting
The Coffee County Conservation District will hold its monthly board meeting on Jan. 20, at the Coffee County Commission Room in New Brockton. The meeting will start at 10 a.m. There are a limited number of people that can be in the room so those planning to attend should call (334) 894-5581X3.
Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service March
A Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service March begins Sunday, Jan. 16, at 2 p.m. at the Enterprise City Hall and ends at the Liberty Missionary Baptist Church on Geneva Highway. Project seeking info on WWII vets killed in action
“The Stories Behind the Stars” initiative was created to organize one central digital location to collect the stories of all Americans who were killed during World War II. These personal stories will be digitally linked to war memorials and cemeteries by a smartphone app so visitors can read the stories of the fallen. Work is currently being done on all of the Alabama WWII soldiers. Those with any information or photos they are willing to share on any soldier who died or was killed in World War II from Coffee or Geneva County, please contact Donna Snell at firstname.lastname@example.org or (334) 774- 6777.

DAV Chapter 9 van program resumes services
The DAV Chapter 9 van program has resumed services to run on Mondays and Fridays to Montgomery and Tuskegee with the same route and hours as in the past. Pick-up is at 5 a.m., at Hardee’s on Rucker Boulevard in Enterprise; and at 5:15 a.m., at Bojangle’s on Daleville Avenue at the intersection off Highway 134 in Daleville. The van will depart to travel back when the last veteran has been seen by a clinic, never later than noon. Chapter 9 DAV meets monthly
Enterprise Chapter 9 of the Disabled American Veterans has monthly meetings at Ruby Tuesday Restaurant in Westgate Shopping Center, 625 Boll Weevil Circle, Enterprise. The meeting is held the second Thursday each month and starts at 6:30 p.m. Come at 6 p.m. to eat prior to the meeting. All pre-retirement active duty and veterans are encouraged to attend. Lyster changes number for pharmacy fax
Lyster Army Health Clinic announces a change to the pharmacy’s fax number. The pharmacy’s new fax number 877-374-1656, replaces the current fax number in use to improve communication. The office phone number remains unchanged. Area medical professionals are encouraged to update contact information and utilize the new pharmacy fax number to submit faxed prescriptions. Effective April 1, the previous fax number will no longer be valid. Tricare beneficiaries should remind their healthcare provider of the change to ensure no interruption of prescription service.
