A police call Monday evening quickly turned violent when a Coffee County man began shooting at Enterprise officers.

Rocky Beasley, 31, armed with a rifle, began shooting at officers when they responded to a domestic violence call at his home on County Road 270 shortly before 9 p.m.

No officers were injured during the firefight, but several bullets struck two patrol cars, according to initial reports.

Officers were able to take Beasley into custody unharmed shortly after the altercation began.

He was charged with three counts of attempted murder and domestic violence, according to Coffee County Jail records.
