Maj. Gen. (Ret.) and Mrs. Joseph Fil Jr. of Huntsville announce the engagement of their daughter, Rebecca Marie Fil, to Alexander Bryant McQueen, son of Dr. and Mrs. James Michael McQueen of Enterprise.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Fil Sr., of Portola Valley, Calif., and Charles “Buddy” Davis of Tupelo, Miss., and the late Joyce Davis.
She is a 2009 graduate of Seoul American High School in Seoul, Korea and graduated summa cum laude in 2012 from the University of Alabama where she received a bachelor’s degree in English. She graduated in 2014 from the University of Alabama with a master’s degree in education. She is currently employed as an eighth grade English teacher at Huntsville Middle School.
The future bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James Earl “Jimmy” Henderson and Diane McQueen and the late Jim McQueen, all of Enterprise.
He is a 2008 graduate of Enterprise High School and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Alabama in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in biology.
He is currently a fourth year medical student at the University of Alabama School of Medicine.
The wedding will be held July 11 at The Ledges in Huntsville. A reception will follow.
