The 2022 primary election runoff is scheduled for Tuesday, June 21 and candidates in both the Democratic and Republican parties will be on the ballot.

Yolanda Rochelle Flowers will face Malika Sanders Fortier in the Democratic runoff for governor. In the May 24th primary election, Flowers received 33.87 percent of the vote while Fortier received 32.52 percent. There were six candidates on the Democratic ballot in May.

On the Republican runoff ballot, Katie Britt will face off against Mo Brooks. Britt garnered 44.75 percent of the vote and Brooks received 29.15 percent in the May primary. There were six candidates on the ballot in May with Mike Durant receiving 23.33 percent of the vote in addition to Britt and Brooks.

Wes Allen will go against Jim Zeigler for Secretary of State. Zeigler received 42.69 percent of the vote to Allen’s 39.70 percent in the May primary. Stan Cooke will face off against Andrew Sorrell for the State Auditor office. Sorrell received 39.46 percent of the vote and Cooke had 32.79 percent in the May primary.

For Public Service Commission Place No. 1, Jeremy Oden will go against Brent Woodall in the runoff. Oden received 34.30 percent of the vote to Woodall’s 30.92 percent in the May primary. For Public Service Commission Place No. 2, Chip Beeker will go against Robert L. McCollum. Beeker received 43.15 percent of the vote and McCollum had 36.84 percent in the May primary.

The polls will open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. Those who traditionally cast their ballots at the Enterprise Recreation Center are reminded that they will vote at the Enterprise Civic Center.
