• The Daleville City Schools summer feeding program will run through Thursday, July 29. Lunch will be provided at no cost to all children 18 and younger in the Daleville High School cafeteria from 10:45 – 11:45 a.m.

• The Daleville City Council will have a work session Monday, Aug. 2, at 5 p.m. in the council chambers at Daleville City Hall. The next city council voting meeting is Tuesday, Aug. 3, at 5:30 p.m. in the council chambers at city hall. Both meetings are open to the public.

• The Above the Best Silver Chapter of the U.S. Army Warrant Officers Association will be holding its in-person, monthly meeting at 11:45 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 12, at Swartworth Hall, 5302 Outlaw Street, Fort Rucker.  A meal will be served.  Please observe Fort Rucker COVID protocols. This meeting is open to all warrant officers or those interested in warrant officer issues.

• The Second (Indianhead) Division Association is searching for anyone who served in the Army’s 2nd Infantry Division at any time. • The DAV Chapter 9 van program has resumed services to run on Mondays and Fridays to Montgomery and Tuskegee with the same route and hours as in the past. Pick-up is at 5 a.m., at Hardee’s on Rucker Boulevard in Enterprise; and at 5:15 a.m., at Bojangle’s in Daleville. The van will depart to travel back when the last veteran has been seen by a clinic, never later than noon.
