• Daleville High School graduation will be Friday, May 20, at 7:30 p.m. in Warhawk Stadium. In case of inclement weather, graduation will be Saturday, May 21 at 9:30 p.m.

• The next meeting for the DAV Wiregrass Chapter 99, located in New Brockton, will be held on Thursday, May 26, at 6 p.m. in the New Brockton Senior Center. • Daleville Christian Fellowship Worship Center will host a Pre-Vacation Bible School Super Soaker Saturday Fun Day on June 4, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The entire family is invited to come share the fun. There will be water slides, inflatables, a dunking booth, face painting, board games, volleyball, basketball, ping pong, sack racing, horse shoe tossing, food and snow cones, and plenty of fun. Vacation Bible School will be from June 6- 10, from 6-8 each night. • First Baptist Church Level Plains will be kicking off the summer June 12-16, from 5-8 p.m. with Vacation Bible School called Monumental/Celebrating God’s Greatness.
• A DAV Chapter Service Officer will be located at the Town Hall in New Brockton Alabama every Wednesday from 9 a.m. till 11 a.m. Any veteran needing help with a VA claim is welcome. This is on a walk in basis, no appointment is needed. For further information contact Mike Doran at (334) 406-6700.
• “The Stories Behind the Stars” initiative was created to organize one central digital location to collect the stories of all Americans who were killed during World War II. These personal stories will be digitally linked to war memorials and cemeteries by a smartphone app so visitors can read the stories of the fallen. Work is currently being done on all of the Alabama WWII soldiers. Those with any information or photos they are willing to share on any soldier who died or was killed in World War II from Coffee, Dale or Geneva County, please contact Donna Snell at [email protected] or (334) 774- 6777.
• The DAV Chapter 9 van program has resumed services to run on Mondays and Fridays to Montgomery and Tuskegee. Pick-up is at 5 a.m., at Hardee’s on Rucker Boulevard in Enterprise; and at 5:15 a.m., at Bojangle’s on Daleville Avenue at the intersection off Highway 134 in Daleville.
