“My family and I are humbled by the support we received and we are ready to go to work for the people of Dale County,” said Adam Enfinger after the primary election votes were tallied at the Dale County Courthouse in Ozark May 24.
Enfinger, who serves currently as a Newton Town Councilman, defeated incumbent Charles “Chic” Gary for the Dale County District 3 seat.
Enfinger garnered 53.64 percent—1,001 votes— to Gary’s 46.35 percent—865 votes. Enfinger took the lead in five of the eight precincts that vote for the District 3 commission seat.
In other Dale County races, Dale County Sheriff’s Department Chief Deputy Mason Bynum is the uncontested candidate for the Dale County Sheriff’s position being vacated upon the retirement of longtime DCS Wally Olson and Dale County Assistant Coroner John Cawley is the uncontested candidate for the Dale County Coroners’ position being vacated upon the retirement of longtime coroner Woodrow “Woody” Hilboldt.
