The Enterprise Wildcat baseball team finished the regular season on a high note defeating the Dothan Tigers 5-0 on April 19 and 11-1 on April 21. The Cats finished as runner-up in the area and will travel to Central-Phenix City on Friday, April 29, to begin the playoffs.
In the first game, two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Austin Acreman started on the mound for the Cats and pitched five scoreless innings giving up only two hits with five strikeouts. Brady Richardson came on in relief to close the game out and gave up only one hit and two strikeouts.
Enterprise put up two runs in the top of the fourth and that’s all it took for the Cats to secure the win. Richardson got the inning started with a single pop fly to right field and advanced to second on a passed ball. Tal Sessions single on a hard ground ball to the second baseman to advance Richardson to third with two outs. Sessions advanced to second then third on an error by the pitcher and Richardson scored on the same error. Sessions then scored on a passed ball before the inning was over.
Noah Loy led the Cats at the plate going 3-for-4. Sessions went 2-for-4 scoring one run and 1 RBI, Richardson went 1-for-3 scoring one run, Jack Williams went 1-for-3 scoring one run and 1 RBI and Tysen Cole went 1-for-3.
Enterprise had nine hits and one error in the game while Dothan had three hits and two errors.

In game two, the Cats scored six runs in the bottom of the first inning and the Wolves could never recover with Enterprise winning 11-1.
The Cats had five singles in the first inning, a double and two walks taking advantage of numerous baserunners to score.
Owen Burrow led off on the rubber for Enterprise pitching four innings and giving up one run on two hits while striking out five. Will Powell came on to close the game pitching one inning with one strikeout and no hits or runs.
Williams led Enterprise at the plate going 3-for-4 with a double and scoring one run and 1 RBI. Powell went 2-for-2 with a triple and scoring two runs and 3 RBIs, Tristan Bartling went 2-for-3 scoring one run and 2 RBIs and Payton Easterling went 1-for-1 with his lone hit being a double and gathering 2 RBIs.
Enterprise had 11 hits and one error in the game while Dothan had two hits and two errors.
