According to a statement from Enterprise High School Athletic Director, the Enterprise vs. Davidson home game scheduled for Sept. 11 has been moved to Mobile.
The game will still take place on Sept. 11 and kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. but the schools were forced to make a change after Davidson - which is based in Mobile - was told they would not be allowed to travel to Enterprise. Enterprise head coach Rick Darlington and Trawick both confirmed the move to The Sun.
"We got word today that they officially have gotten word that they cannot travel here," Trawick said. "The original contract was that this year and next year they were coming here and we would pay them a minimal amount to travel both years.
"So, we just amended the contract and it will be a home-and-home series. We'll go down there this year and hopefully things will be back to normal next year and they'll come up here."Â
Under the new contract Enterprise will not have to pay Davidson anything for the games.Â
Trawick said the logistics of where the game would be played are still being worked out and that he expected an announcement on Sept. 4. Currently, Davidson plays its home games at Ladd Peebles Stadium and played Daphne near last week.Â
Individuals that purchased reserved tickets for the season will be refunded for this game at the end of the season.
