The New Brockton Lady Gamecocks picked up a 3-1 win over the Zion Chapel Lady Rebels on Aug. 25 to start off the volleyball season.

New Brockton won first two sets 25-15 and 25-16, while Zion Chapel came back to win the third set by a score of 26-24. New Brockton then dominated the final set 25-14 to win the match against their Coffee County rival.

Leading the way for New Brockton was Madison Meeks with seven kills and nine aces, while Anna Clark chipped in with nine kills and Jay Vera earned eight kills.

Lizzy Everts also contributed with nine aces and 12 digs, while Aneesa Klein earned three blocks and Angel McBay had two blocks.

New Brockton travels to Wicksburg on Sept. 3.
