Dear Wiregrass United Way supporters:
As the year winds down, I want to take this opportunity to express my appreciation. Although the past two years have been incredibly challenging for nonprofit organizations, our supporters have repeatedly stepped up to take care of our neighbors in need.
Everyone affiliated with the Wiregrass United Way is extremely grateful, especially our 38 partner agencies that have seen increasing demand for their services and diminishing financial resources. As you would expect, they all have done an amazing job in providing programs and services to those individuals and families across our six-county region.
If you have already made your pledge to our current campaign, THANK YOU. We appreciate your generosity. If you have not yet made a pledge to this campaign, we urge you to do so. You can donate via PayPal at https://bit.ly/3eJRZfe or use the pledge form that is at https://bit.ly/3Jv7qX4.
We are currently at 87.91 percent of the overall goal of $2,750,000. When the final employee campaigns report their results, we expect to be near 98 percent of our goal. We are already working on plans for a special day in mid-January to make a big push to get the final dollars raised. If we can reach the overall goal by Jan. 31, the Wiregrass Foundation will contribute an additional $400,000 to the campaign. I can assure you we are all working diligently to make this happen.
Again, I cannot thank you enough for your support. We could not provide our agencies with the funds they need without your contributions. Wishing you and your family a Happy New Year.
