Since Joe Biden took office and started implementing his radical open border policies, 42 people on the terrorist watch list have been apprehended attempting to enter the United States through our southern border illegally. With our law enforcement at the border stretched beyond the breaking point and border security weakened by the Biden administration, it’s scary to think about how many terrorists may have slipped through the cracks.
But things may be getting worse. With Biden eliminating the Trump-era Title 42, which has successfully removed over 1.7 million people attempting to enter our country in the past two years, Biden is essentially advertising to potential illegal immigrants that they can enter our country without problem.
Clearly this administration does not take this border crisis, or the constitutional oversight role of Congress over the executive branch, seriously. Last August, I joined several of my colleagues in an oversight letter to DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas asking for data on the magnitude of the crises at our border. It took them eight months to respond with a blow off letter that did not answer our questions. That is totally unacceptable. The American people want them to take this crisis seriously.

Tax Day this year carried added significance because of the historic inflation and woeful economic conditions. The federal government has brought on these conditions by spending trillions disguised as COVID aid.
If we are simply going to print money, why even tax working people? If we are going to help working Americans, why not let them keep more of their own money instead of overheating our economy with all this spending?
That’s why I introduced the Household Income Tax Suspension Act, or the HITS Act. My bill would provide the equivalent of a six- month federal income tax holiday for millions of Americans who support the American economy. Instead of driving record inflation by printing money that we don’t have in the name of COVID-19 relief, we should cut taxes and let our workforce keep more of their hard-earned money.

A federal judge in Florida struck down the Biden administration’s travel mask mandate for airplanes. But after waffling on the issue, the administration announced that the Department of Justice, at the insistence of bureaucrats at the Centers for Disease Control, will challenge the court order.
We all know this isn’t about science anymore. This is about control. And the American people have had enough. I’ve been proud to be a leading voice against the Biden administration’s authoritarian mandates, and I will not let up now. There is too much at stake.

President Putin sanctioned hundreds of members of Congress, including me, because of our opposition to his invasion of Ukraine.
Putin can sanction me all he wants, but it won’t change my position that we need to continue supporting the Ukrainian people. It is in America’s best interest to deter Russian aggression in the region, and I’ll always put America first.
