Sara T. (Sally) Smith, 78, of Enterprise, died Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2020, after a lengthy illness.
There will be no services in Enterprise, but a family service will be held in Tifton, Ga., at a later date.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. (Sonny) Smith.
A graduate of Tifton High School, she attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC) in Tifton.
Over the years Sally was very involved in the Enterprise community. She was a member of the Red Hatters, a Bunco group, the Travel Club and the Altrusa Club of Enterprise. She was also the sponsor of the Astra Girls Club for many years. Sally was also the co-owner of a Travel Agency in Enterprise. Sally and Sonny were both active, long time members of St. Luke United Methodist Church.
Sally was recognized as the 2002 Enterprise Woman of the Year, and became a vital and active member of the OSCAR Club.
Survivors include daughters, Stephanie Bowden (Don) of Miramar Beach, Fla., and Terri Williford (Tim) of Vidalia, Ga.; two sons Chuck Smith (Paula) of Auburn and Tracy Smith (Lesley) of Louisville, Ky.; nine grandchildren, Mellissa Morris, Aaron Bowden, Brett Bowden, Will Smith, Rachel Smith Labarge, Taylor Boyd, Zachary Williford, Savannah Smith and Sadie Claire Smith; and three great-grandchildren.
