Huntingdon College holds Awards Convocation Honors Scholarship and Service
Academic and student life programs at Huntingdon College presented awards for scholarship and service during the annual Awards Convocation held Friday, April 22.
Local students receiving recognition included:
• Aiden Bruce of Enterprise who received the Hortense Batre-Colonial Dames Scholarship Award. This award is given each year to an outstanding history major who must have completed at least 12 hours in American history. The award, established in 1938, is given in honor of Hortense Batre, the founder of the Society of Colonial Dames of Alabama.
• Jayden Nicole Quire of Enterprise who received a Jane Williams Scholastic Achievement Award. This award is given to the sophomore-level students who earned the highest grade point averages during their freshman year.Â
Local students selected as SGA Senators
The Huntingdon College 2021–2022 Huntingdon College Judicial Board has certified the following students to serve as senators in the legislative body of the Huntingdon College Student Government Association for the 2022–2023 academic year:Â
Kurt Destin Kraft of Enterprise was elected as a Senior Senator. Konrad Kraft of Enterprise was elected as a Junior Senator. Briana Adkinson of New Brockton was elected as a Sophomore Senators
The students will take office April 21 and will serve until the last class day of the 2022–2023 academic year.
