Anthony Bishop

Anthony Bishop of Enterprise entered a guilty plea on Thursday, July 21, to manslaughter charges in the deaths of two teens from New Brockton as the result of an accident he caused while driving under the influence.

Bishop, 57, who was driving a 2010 Ford F150, plowed into the rear of a 2015 Nissan Altima on July 6, 2020 at the intersection of State Highway 123 and US 84 in Wicksburg carrying four high school students. Paula Perdue, 15, and A.J. Riley, 17, were killed as a result of the accident, which also involved two other vehicles.

Bishop is currently being held in the Houston County Jail. He will serve 54 months in prison followed by probation with no chance for parole or early release.
