The Above the Best Silver Chapter of the U.S. Army Warrant Officers Association will be holding an in-person, monthly meeting on Thursday, at 1145 a.m. on Dec. 9, at Swartworth Hall on Fort Rucker. A meal will be served. Please observe Fort Rucker COVID protocols. This meeting is open to all warrant officers or those interested in warrant officer issues.
The Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Chapter 9 of Enterprise will have a Christmas Party on Thursday, Dec. 9, starting at 5:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church Center on Lee Street next to Sessions Cleaners in downtown Enterprise. The city just finished completing a new parking lot right across from the center so there should be ample parking. A donation of $5 per person would be appreciated to help defray the cost. Toys will be collected for Toys for Tots this year, so please bring a new unwrapped gift for a boy or girl.

The next Fort Rucker Military Officers Association of America dinner will be held on Saturday, Dec. 18 at 6 p.m. at The Landing on Fort Rucker. Those wishing to attend please contact Mary Rutkowski at (334) 347-4966 prior to Dec. 16 to reserve a seat and dinner. Dress is semi-formal, informal civilian, or business casual, however, for the Christmas season, ugly Christmas sweaters will be allowed. There will be a social hour as well as a guest speaker with relevant information to the military and retiree audience. There will also be a small silent auction to raise funds to support our causes.

The Enterprise Senior Citizens Center is for anyone 60 years of age or older. There is no fee to participate in the senior center program but donations are welcomed. Art classes are offered every Tuesday from 8 until 10 a.m., and 10 a.m. until noon. Sewing classes are held on Wednesdays from 9 a.m. until noon. Daleville Elementary School will present a Christmas Choir Performance on Thursday, Dec. 9 at 11a.m. On Dec. 10 there will be a Tai Chi class at noon. A Christmas Circle Game will be held Monday, Dec. 13 at 10 a.m. Classes meet at 2401 Neil Metcalf Road (U.S. Highway 167 North).
