Members of the Enterprise business community are actively supporting breast cancer awareness through several special events.
Each Monday during October Medical Center Enterprise is hosting Mammogram Mondays from 5 until 7 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome but appointments are preferred and can be made by calling (334) 393-8760 to reserve a time for a mammogram. Special treats available for the Mammogram Monday participants are chocolate covered strawberries and non alcoholic pink champagne.
On Saturday, Oct. 13, the Downtown Enterprise Business Association is hosting the Annual Girls Night Out to raise funds to provide mammogram services to those in the community who might not be able to afford them.
Twenty-one downtown merchants and numerous market vendors will transform Main and College Street in downtown Enterprise into a fun-filled shopping experience for ladies of all ages during the annual GNO to raise breast cancer awareness held from 4 until 9 p.m.
There will be complimentary refreshments at participating merchants, door prizes, line dancing in the streets, a special spa treatment opportunity and GNO specials throughout the downtown district.
For information contact Debbie Gaydos at (334) 417-0090 or Regena Lacey at (334) 348-2738.
On Monday, Nov. 5, Rituals Salon and Day Spa in both Dothan and Enterprise will be hosting a “Save the Rack” event in support of breast cancer awareness.
All of the proceeds will be donated to Compassion That Compels, a ministry and non-profit with a mission to reach every woman battling cancer with a Compassion Bag. Reminding each recipient that she is brave, beautiful and never alone in this fight, each “Be Strong” Bag contains a blanket, a Jesus Calling devotional, a custom notebook, a custom journal, a pen, organic tea, mug, scripture candy soft mints and a Chick-fil-a gift card.
The salon and day spa will be open from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. by appointment only with a limited menu of hair, massage, facials, pedicures and sensory tours, with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting Compassion That Compels. For more information, call (334) 393-7546.
