Fort Rucker has announced that it will operate on "curtailed operations" on Wednesday, Oct. 10, in preparation for Hurricane Michael.
According to the United States Army Aviation Center of Excellence (USAACE) and Fort Rucker website, Department of Army Civilian employees "will be placed on administrative leave. Key and essential personnel will report for duty."
The announcement states that any personnel who are unsure of their duty status may contact their supervisor.
"The status for Thursday’s garrison operations and installation services will be determined based on conditions following the storm," the website states.
The Fort Rucker website also states that Fort Rucker schools will operate all day Tuesday but will close on Wednesday. A decision for Thursday attendance will be made Wednesday.
All MWR facilities will also close at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 9, and both the Faulkner and Newton gates will be closed on Wednesday, Oct. 10, according to the website.
